PROJECT: Construction of Concrete Retaining Wall, Block Fence, and Drainage at Gelegele Marine Police Post
PROJECT LOCATION:
The project is located at Gelegele Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project involved the construction of structural and drainage works to enhance stability, security, and flood control at the Gelegele Marine Police Post, comprising:
- A reinforced concrete retaining wall measuring 0.4m (thickness) × 3m (height) × 51m (length).
- A 2.5m block wall constructed atop the retaining wall, serving as a perimeter fence.
- Stormwater drainage system to prevent flooding within the premises.
- Concrete surfacing of the reclaimed area within the compound, reinforced with 5mm RBC steel.
- Installation of interlocking paving stones across parts of the compound.
- Concrete and earthworks for slope protection along the building section.
PROJECT STATUS:
Completed – January 2022
